After using mouse heavily on a computer generally the left click gets damaged and inadvertently double clicks.
To fix this problem I followed these steps:
Open the mouse using a Philips screw driver and lift the cover
Locate the click mechanism causing the problem and find the corresponding area on the mouse cover that hits the click button.
Cut a small square piece of card paper (visiting card works best) and paste it with an adhesive on the point that hits the click mechanism.
Reassemble the mouse….Problem solved…..
